I need to get my jeep re-aligned. I took it to a buddy's shop and i don't think its aligned worth a damn. I have the rusty's hd steering setup installed, which makes it more of a pain to adjust then the factory stuff. If you know of a good shop that will align it on a good alignment rack, please let me know. I would love to have my jeep steering back to normal after almost 6 months.

Check out Mr. Tire in Laurel (in the strip mall next to Hooters, behind Goodyear, across from Laurel Centre), they installed and aligned the tires on my XJ, plus they have a coupon! There used to be a 4x4 shop right next door and they did a lot of the installs for him, they seem to know what they are doing (I've had good luck with them, used them a couple times.)

NTB seems to be a decent choice for alignments.

for $150 I purchased all the alignments I want for the next 3 years. So after any mods, breakage and repairs I just roll in and get it done. It's transferable one time to another vehicle.

They also do not have a "no lift" clause. I'm told many companies won't do, or won't guarantee their work if the vehicle has modified suspension.

AOI has done my alignments before, definitely recommend.

I did the last one myself, not that hard really. The TJs are pretty easy.

the only situation that has arisen is that if someone isn't competent and isn't familiar with upgraded steering setups, they may not be able to do it well. I have the Rusty's HD steering conversion that goes wheel to wheel. Much different approach then factory alignments.

Mike at AOI knows what he is doing. Take it there.

That's a good reason to take it to AOI. They've probably got more time invested in specialty than stock.

yeah I'm sure the guys at AOI won't be able to figure out the complex Rusty's HD steering conversion, I bet they've never done an alignment on a modified 4x4

I wasn't referring to AOI not being able to do the alignment, Dick.

I was saying saying that the normal chain places can't do anything unless it is listed in their little manual. (thats why the alignment needs to be redone, and rather then go back to so-so tire chain, i'd rather just pay to have it done correctly.

The rusty's steering setup is a pita to align, its a nice setup, and stout, but not easy to adjust. Most shops won't do it right because they are lazy.

:You asked about a shop to have an Alignment done

:Several Members suggested AOI

:You stated that someone must be competent with upgraded steering setups to do you alignment

:I made a sarcastic comment becuase obviously AOI has seen a few aftermarket steering setups.

:You got butt hurt

:Go play in Traffic /Tread
