Re: Southern MD Jeepers

FYI. I did confirm that there is a cruise in. I'm here now with a bunch of hot rods. May be a good meet spot in the future. Hey this is Justin, I spoke to you and your wife earlier today at the NoVA meet. Like I said I'm down to meet whenever on most weeknights, now that I've met a couple people ar...

Re: Painting TJ Fenders

As I said I was going to do I just finished painting mine with the black Krylon Fusion. Only took me an hour and just required a bunch of index cards and a cheap plastic drop cloth. I got it done only using one can with a bunch of paint still left over. Looks 10 times better with minimal work requir...

Re: Painting TJ Fenders

a heat gun supposedly will work too. I tried it a few times on my YJ flares and it worked decently. Didn't do the whole flare though it was only a test spot at the time because I was busy doing another project and just wanted to see if it actually worked. I may be wrong but I heard doing that on TJ...

Re: Painting TJ Fenders

Krylon Fusion... just prep it with soap and water and maybe acetone if you're feeling fancy... it's made specifically for plastic... I painted the cladding and bumper covers on my ZJ and haven't had any issues with it... very easy to work with... Forget all the peanut butter and crazy ideas and jus...

Re: What to buy... what to buy...

What he said about yanking the carpet and drain plugs. If you do pull the carpet it out you might as well Herculine it! One of the best mods I have ever done to my Jeep.

Re: paint wheels black

Ehh it was a crappy cell phone quality pic and they were still dirty as I had just finished.

Its been about 6 months though, I'll snap some pics tomorrow and post them up to show how well it has held up. I definitely recommend Duplicolor wheel paint because it is made specifically for this!

Re: Driveshaft shops?

Just make sure you don't feel any play in the Ujoints and that the double cardan feels like it moves freely without any real binding. If it was fine with no vibes when it came out, should be good to go. Just an update I got the shaft out of storage today and played with it. (dont even quote that!) ...

Re: paint wheels black

To the OP I painted my wheels with Duplicolor wheel paint. They make one in black and it turned out amazing. Basically steps for me were to. 1. Remove all 4 wheels. (I left my tires on) 2. Scuff them down with a scotch brite pad. Make sure they are really scuffed, dont half-ass it. 3. Wash the wheel...
