Re: Steel Blue Build

My buddy out here fixed the truss, cut off the bad section, and added plate and put it back together for me when he went home.

I also installed my rear swaybar finally. I'll get pictures and let you all know how it does later this week haha

Re: Steel Blue Build

I'm a little slow, explain what the pic is. Looks like something broke? Pinion looks a bit high. Yep, the pinion is high because the truss is bent. I used the truss that was with the 8.8 swap kit for a TJ, and just added s bracket for the upper control arms. It wasn't designed for that and the top ...

I was trying to. But work and stuff have left me not able to.

Re: Steel Blue Build

Didn't anyone ever tell you that if the Corps wanted you to have a wife, they'd issue you one? Congrats! Haha yeah I've heard that. So I guess they're okay with it. Lol :) Thanks. :) I'm packing up this week to move out of the barracks so I won't be able to work on my jeep a whole lot. But hopefull...

Hey thanks!

I'm hopeful to work on it a bit next week. Work has been crazy and finding an apartment as well.

It is really bothering me how it's not done yet and I can't wheel it.

Super frustrated.

Re: Steel Blue Build

Glenn, this build is looking awesome. On the steering issue, when I did my body lift I lenthened the pivot mount by an inch as well. I'd also look to see if the stabilizer has moved around where it rubs the drag link or other parts of steering linkage. With that front steering stretch, you might wa...

Re: Lift Kit Install - HELP

there are plenty of websites that have "what lift will fit what tire" sections, quadratec.com 4wparts.com 4wd.com and they can help you determine that. once you've found one you like, will fit your budget, and has decent ratings, bring that back here and we can talk about what else you may need for ...

Re: Steel Blue Build

Looking good! What are those 4 things that look like bolts through your frame for? Those area indeed bolts. My rear suspension setup is a dual triangulated 4 link. The lower links mount to the outboard of the axle, and come together in the middle between the frame. Those bolts you see area what is ...

Re: Steel Blue Build

Here we go. It's on it's own weight, finally got my New rear driveshaft, went with Tom woods, it turned out pretty good. I need new spring rates for sure, and still need to install the rear sway bar. But it flexes very well right now. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160411/9be56242156294bbb1da053a...
