RCV shafts cost bout twice what good aftermarket shafts do, but eliminate the ujoint, and are far stronger when the wheels are turned as a result. I used to break ujoints and almost always destroyed the stub shafts fairly often, since going RCV have had zero shaft failures, even when I killed a rin...
That's cool cowboy, I'm going to locate a new to me front axle shaft and then I'll change out my ujoint on my and then I can assess the damage if any. But running 37's and lots of rocks and stock shafts isn't a good combo! Lol I just changed out both upper and lower ball joints and no more death wob...
Hey Steve, yeah I'm running stock shafts and yeah the caps are still there but while I had it out I could see the cap moving around in the hole like its worn it out!! Bad! I don't think chAnging u joint is going fix nothing. Looks like I need a new axle shaft!!
