Death Bed?

Post by hschofi » Sun Mar 31, 2013 1:26 pm

So pressure test revealed a leak at the upper hose connection. Fixed that and sure enough Im still going threw antifreeze like crazy!! The heat disappears when the level is low but come back 100% when its filled...

Local shop said since im burning oil and antifreeze and the engine has over 200.000 miles its best to swap out with a rebuilt.. replace the engine!! that is a lot of cash to drop!!

He wouldnt even entertain swapping out the head. Last I need is to get

Any thoughts??
2000 XJ Silver

Yup just plain and simple for now, since I'm still trying to make sure it stays running!
