Jeep shop in Frederick?

Post by Orangeagent27 » Tue Nov 26, 2013 10:04 pm

Hey fellas (and fellettes?) I'm trying to find a good quality shop in my neck if the woods to start building up my jeep. First thing I'd like to do, tomorrow actually, is install a new exhaust. Does anyone have any recommendations?

For the jeep stuff...lift, regear and so-on. Id make the trip to Appalachian Offroad for buying stuff and some jeep work also check with wrk6 at Knowwhere2jeep.com

Both Mike (AOI) and Eric (wrk6) are great guys. I live in southern Md and still went all the way up to AOI before I started doing stuff my self. Heck, I still go to mike and eric for stuff I dont do.

I second the Appalachian Offroad recommendation. Mike is one of the few people I trust touching my Jeep.

For exhaust, I just put on a Dynomax Superflow system that was very reasonably priced to replace my rusted out exhaust. It sounds good being about the same as stock but a little deeper. What model Jeep?

Thanks fellas. I'm a bit embarrassed because after I posted this I saw two threads about the very same topic. So thanks for even responding.

It's a 2014 JKU. That exhaust sounds exactly what I'm looking for. Something that is close to stock, but you know is there.

I'll check this AOI out. I don't have the funds yet, but I'd like to start putting together some ideas.

A 2014 needs a new exhaust already? Mine's a 2000 and I just replaced it last weekend.

If you intend to do any real mods, not just for looks or sound, I suggest leaving the exhaust until last. For example, some suspension mods require specific exhaust clearance -come which if you did exhaust now mean you would be doing it all over again after other mods required it.
97 TJ. It has some stuff.
