Did you have any transmission problems? What was the fix?

Other than lowering it about 2", do you have any other plans?
Tranny ran great. Fix was to flip the shift lever over. Came from the tranny builder installed backwards so the gears didn't exactly line up just right. I need more sway control. Buggy has a lot of power but can't get it to the ground due to body roll and steering control issues. Plan is a bigger sway bar and possibly a front sway bar, Lower by 2", Correct the coilover angle so it doesn't increase in angle the more it compresses but other than that nothing major. I'm close to having it dialed in and it is scary fast. I might do line mountain in september but also planning on big dogs that weekend. Then the work begins again.
Well thats great news about the transmission. Sounds like a solid plan for the Jeep. Will line mountain help you qualify for KOH? Or is that only the RC races?

Only suggestion is something else than spray bomb grey, a nice brighter paint would make the rig look extremely nice in my opinion.

I thought about it and went as far as to buy a bunch of Kabota orange spray paint this past year but just couldn't bring myself to paint it. I was tossing around the idea of building a new chassis this year but house projects are putting a hurting on the wallet. We'll see what happens this year. If I run out of stuff to do then there's no telling what I'll get into.

Finally got my new sway bar in. came in waves since UPS decided to destroy the box. This bar is of larger diameter, wider and solid. Hopefully this will be the answer to my excessive body roll. Still need to rebuild the bent front coilover. Plan is to fix it after 12 tomorrow and test run on sunday at Rausch.

Ok change of plans. wheeled rausch today and had a great time. Made a deal to build a new chassis and move all my stuff over during the winter. It's what it really needs.

Nice! Still going to keep it somewhat of a Jeep or is it just going to be a buggy? Any noteable changes that this new chassis will incorporate compared to your Jeep now?

It will be 95% buggy, I'd love to keep the front grill. Changes are plentiful, better control arm angles, MUCH lower, more in cab room, better steering ratio, better dash and control panel arrangement, safer cage design etc.

For those that couldn't attend Boulder Bash in Berryville VA this weekend. This was the last run for the Juggy. Her parts will be harvested for the new chassis.

Who did you go with for the chassis? What are the specs?

I left the entire design up to the builder. We'll see what happens. Gonna make a trip up to bloomsburg soon to check the progress.

basically we agreed it needed a new chassis, picked the wheelbase, decided it needed to be about 8-10 inches lower, better control arm angles and more room in the cab. We covered other areas we knew was a problem and will fix it in the new chassis. Left the Juggy with him and he will build the chassis around my driveline and then swap everything over as he goes.
