T19 and Dana 300

Post by thezman » Sun May 16, 2010 6:48 pm

So has anyone done this in their CJ? i have a T-19 trans outta a F250 which i believe has granny gear the 6.32to 1. not sure yet. no to mate it up to the 300 i need an adaptor right? Next i may be getting my hands on a driveline from a IH scout II not sure of the year yet but if its a 1980 it might already have the T19 300 combo. any experts here?

i dont know anything about a T19 but we are getting ready to swap a T18/D300 combo into Cory's jeep. you are gonna need an adapter from Novak or advanced adapters. you are also gonna need a bellhousing from a T150 or T176 i think. it is basically the same swap that i am doing to my cj. i am using a NP435 with is just New Process's version of the T18.
