Rust Repair

Post by KillinTime » Mon Sep 20, 2010 9:33 am

I just bought a 1983 CJ-7 and it has some rust problems. What is the best way of battling the issue? Its def an off road vehicle but i still want it to be safe and nice looking. Thank you for your help!

I am sure we can shed some light on what you have and some ways to fix it but we would appreciate it if you would go here and introduce yourself. http://www.marylandjeepclub.org/phpBB3/ ... m.php?f=52 And post some pics of your jeep so we can see what you have and how bad it is. welcome to the club.

If you don't worry what it looks like, you can buy the repop metal panels you need and use them to make patches specific to what you need. I have a punch/flange tool to make the patches drop in place and then spot weld them as needed.
