Id still drop the tank and check out the sending unit if all other options fail to get the gas flowing. Again sorry for my mistake which Cowboy was kind enough to point out. Cowboy I'll work on paying closer attention so I don't give the wrong advice later on down the road. I am however glad to see you are paying attention and learning about a real jeeps.
I read your post and just happened to remember the plastic gas tank being mentioned earlier. I do enjoy you CJ guys thinking you have the only "real" Jeeps.

I was answering your question. You asked if there were non-CJ Jeeps. According to some* the answer is "nope".

*People that only own CJs.

At least his Jeep has round headlights(yj jokess  ). But yeah it has the plastic tank. I'm playing with the jeep tomorrow to see what happens. I really don't want to rebuild this pos carter I think i'd rather save for the ebay mc2100 kit that one dude puts together. Hopefully my neighbors won't get mad again the thing smoked like a banshee with the oil sitting on the pistons :P

Excellent point. YJ's are great for their................galvanized tubs and MAYBE for their wider front springs. That's about it

Small update,

Found out the fuel pump was bad. No fuel getting to the carb and blowing on the old pump I can get air through it. I was installing the new pump and somehow dropped the bold in the block and it's sitting on the high part of the oil pan. Luckily I can see it and grab it with a "part grabber" thing I have. Im finishing up the fuel pump tomorrow and cranking her up. Also, I discovered the jeep has a true detroit locker. Found a sticker inside the glove box. Big bonus. Big day tomorrow wish me luck. :D
