project choppin block

Post by nattyboh » Sun Jan 15, 2012 11:30 pm

i started building my xj awhile ago. i chopped it 23" and put boatsides on. then i decided to go full on juggy. so this weekend, i built a full frame out of 2x4 3/16" box next i need to position the drivetrain and axles.this will truely be a one of a kind, no cookie cutter bolt on build.its going to be a slow build if anyone is intrested i'll post pics and keep this post updated.if anyone has an old wore out set of tires i could use for mockup i will take them off your hands 39-42"not sure what size i'm going to run on it when its done.leaning more towards 42s.

i told everyone this will be a slow build.started setting up the front 4 link this weekend.the engine was in the damn way.i'll be moving it back and up a little to give my uppers some room for up travel. (the ram is just one i had laying around.its only there to keep the wheels from flopping around when i was rolling the axle around and the "links" in the pics are just jack handles so i could get an idea of my link angles.)
