Big Dogs Ice Breaker

Post by mk4164 » Mon Mar 21, 2011 11:17 am

Anybody going to this?
http://www.bigdogsoffroad.com/html/ice_breaker.html

For those that have never been the Cove has a pretty wide variety of trail levels. Usually a good turn out for this event. I have a pretty mixed opinion on the quality of the trail guides. Some are great. Some have trouble finding their way out of the drivers meetings. Still has always been a great time.

In case you have never been there, here's a few pictures from past trips. Shows the range of trails.

First time in 3 years I will not be attending and I am kicking my self in the a$$. Iabout the guides, yeah they r good or bad. Some muck it up for everyone by creating traffic jams. The guys I have been out with know where they are going but the people in that groop picked trails that where out of reach for them or there rig. If I had any advice to someone that really wants to wheel pick the groop with the least amount of people in it. Or the groop that is the most prepared for wheeling so you don't spend all day fixing someones junk because they don't have any tools or parts. One more thing the mud hole last year stoped a buggy with 54" TTCs on it. So stay out unless you got flotation and wheele speed.

Trying to get the YJ ready for this event. Got a few more things to do before it is ready. Then get a shake down run out of the way. Guess I'll need to find a few Honda Civic's for that.
No trailer, no tow vehicle. May need to drive there, wheel, pray for no breakage and drive back. This could get interesting.
