3rd Annual Mason-Dixon Willys Gathering

Post by Chasm » Thu Sep 24, 2009 10:59 am

Okay Folks, here's the latest on the 3rd Annual Mason-Dixon Willys Jeep Gathering!
Everything is a go for Sunday October 25, 2009 10am-3pm at Historic Union Mills Homestead. An update has been posted at http://www.jeepchasm.com with directions, etc.

The Gathering T-shirt will knock your socks off this year!
Image

It will be worth coming to the show just to get the T-shirt! Thanks to Alex Dunkle for allowing me to photograph and use his CJ2A! (Quantities of this shirt are limited, so I suggest getting registered now and getting to the Gathering early!) Thanks to KnowWhere2Jeep for being the Event Shirt Sponsor! (If you need any parts for your new or old Jeep, give Eric a call and he can probably bring your parts to the Gathering!)

Swap meet, food vendor, parts vendor, Homestead tours, and great Willys vehicles!

Please e-mail me with your registration ASAP so that I may plan accordingly!

I live less than a mile away from there so I will be attending. I remember driving past it last year on my way home from work but the Ravens game was on so I missed it.

Oh man Gary and Dell's. Its where we get out pre-cooked crabs when I go home. even though it is now run by an Asian couple they still kept our name on the list and upgrade our orders. If I go home for my bday I will check it out! Thanks for the heads up!

If you've never been (or even if you have  )...this is an event worth checking out. They will have some really nice old rigs to show off. Get out and check out the heritage that started it all. 8)

It is still amazing what some people do to these things. Never seen one converted into a yeti.

Adams Jeep may be bringing some of their lifted JK's for display / sale, along with Ron Adams' Jeepster. I believe the Jeepster is actually for sale too. (For those who don't know what a Jeepster is, it's a Phaeton style convertible that Willys Overland made in the late 40's and early 50's. It ran the same flat-head 4 as the early CJ's. They are pretty cool vehicles!)

Thanks for sharing the pic Jon!

The "Jeepster" you have pictured looks like a C-101 or "Revival Jeepster" made by Kaiser between 1966 & 1971. The original Jeepsters were made by Willys Overland between 1948 & 1950. They were classified as a VJ. A little more than 19,000 were actually made.

Regardless, if you have one, bring it to the Gathering!
