Rock Rails on the way!

Post by JMM » Sat Jan 19, 2008 9:02 am

Went off and ordered up my rock rails! Marty says 6 weeks I will see them. Went with the Skink Super Sliders, am thinking about getting the top Linexed and rattle canning the rest. Anybody done anything like that before?

Nice! Have you thought about using herculiner on the tops (I assume you're do this for traction on the step bars)? Paint should stick to the herculiner pretty well if you want a good color match, or you could paint first then mask and herculiner the tops. I'm getting two quarts to do my rocker guards, and there should be more than enough left over to do some or all of the rails.

do the whole thing, not just the tops. I would tend to think it would peel off after a bit if it was just the top
I swear I have a jeep.... no really!!
