New 2008 Jeep Liberty

Post by Byrnes07 » Wed Oct 24, 2007 4:05 pm

Has anyone gotten a chance to swing by a dealership and check out the new 2008 Jeep Libertys?
Scarecrow- I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy -How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Yep. Looks longer than the picture you posted.

Been discussed before, but it is the same frame as the Dodge Nitro. So if you have seen one of those you have seen the basic shape.

Yea I was up there last weekend and looked one over - mixed feelings...did not check it out inside. Tell you what though - if I was going to buy something now it would have to be one of the trucks they are teasing us with...

If either one of these hit the street today - I would probably have a new ride!

The top one I believe is the Gladiator. They have been teasing with that for years. The bottom is a conversion that can be done on the new JK. Still not in production by Jeep. If they made the Gladitor I'd probably be getting one two.

the gladiator is sexy.

i drove one of the new libertys before i bought my wrangler and it was meh. it felt more like a car. too much like a car for me. i was hoping it would drive and feel more like the old cherokee.

I saw an article a while back that showed the bottom one as a Jeep concept vehicle - but everything I have seen since has been the green one.

The Brute idea is an interesting one!

not sure what the blogs say but the bottom one is a mopar skunkworks vehicle that was at easter jeep safari or something like that
but it is an export JK that is for the egyptian military or arabic army or something like that but its basically a JK unlimited with the rear doors welded shut and its got leafs in the rear instead of coils

why is it everyone loves the way the gladiator looks but hates the JK's
its the same damn thing
my revolving door of vehicles contines to spin.........
now I have a 2011 F150. 5.0L
