TJ (LJ) with long arm engine skid wanted

Post by webbera » Mon Mar 24, 2014 1:51 pm

Looking to add an engine skid to my LJ.

06 Rubicon 4.0l
Longarm lift.

I would be interested in a new one piece to protect the engine and trans if that is something jeepers do instead of having two plates screwed together.

I would like to hear some suggestions and what you could do to help me out.

Pm halltrail, he makes and installs them. They are tough. It took getting my jeep airborne to bend it. Lol

Yeah, pretty simple design. 1/4" steel plate with 1x1x.25" angle iron down each side. Plate cut to fit in between long arms. I think I have one made. I made it for tacklebox I think. Ill have to see if he still wants it. If not, I have one made up.

Not on a long arm, but you get the idea of how it'd fit with a halltrail skid. This was pre-painted.

I've seen the way you drive. You should make an effort to see halltrail before your Easter trip.
